Time for your close up!

So we'll just have to settle with what we got! If there is one thing I have learned in the last week its that my sweet baby girl is very active and very flexible! We went to do the 3d/4d sonogram again today in hopes that she would be a little less stubborn and a little more cooperative. Not so much. Worse this time actually! Last time she had a foot and a hand in her face, this time, all 4 limbs right in her face! We have a few video moments where she is actually sucking on her big toe! Although a little frustrating that we couldn't see her sweet face close up, I'm happy to report that she is growing quickly and developing perfectly. I'm a very happy mommy to have a thus far, healthy pregnancy. Here are a few pics of our sweet angel girl!

Hey there cheeks! (foot next to face)

Toes by face!

Sweet baby girl!

Totally get smashed in the face by the placenta! Poor girl!

merry christmas.

The Sitz family had a wonderful Christmas and we are so blessed to have such close and loving families. We spent Christmas Eve at the First United Methodist Church in Georgetown admiring all of the beautiful decorations my Aunt Camille had done for the church. After that we headed to her house for some great dinner and desserts and a little game of GIANT jenga! A 4 foot tall jenga definitely makes for more fun than a tiny one! We woke up Christmas morning and did our stockings together and Santa had left me a beautiful new black diaper bag from Lululemon. It's one that I had picked out for myself but didn't really want to spend the money. Lucky for me I have a husband who only wants the best for his girls! :) We headed over to my cousins house around 9am and opened presents for what seemed like hours... no actually it was hours. There were so many presents!! My family is out of control in the gift giving department. Even baby girl got about 15 new outfits from her Gammy! Pics to come on that. We spent Christmas night with Woody's family in the country and had a great meal of turkey, smoked pork tenderloin, and of course tons of vegetable casseroles! Woody and I polished off the night with snuggling on the couch watching Christmas Vacation and talking about the great Christmas we had.
Woody got a new tactical backpack... that we made into a diaper bag! :)
Merry Christmas from the Sitz's!

Stubborn.

I fully had hoped to be posting pictures of our sweet baby at 27 weeks today but just like her mommy, she's very stubborn! We had our first attempt at a 3D/4D sonogram yesterday and baby Sitz was everything but cooperative! The good news is... she is definitely a GIRL! I'm not sure why I was worried but I had some weird feeling that maybe I would be the statistic who wouldn't know that my child was the opposite sex until the day she was born. I've had nightmares of replacing all the salmon/coral in her room and throwing away the tutus and trading it all for dirt and trucks. The sonographer cleared that up yesterday and happily showed the entire room (my family) all baby girls unmentionables! Poor thing... only a 27 week fetus and already showing off to the world!

Now for the bad news... every single time the sonographer would catch a picture of her face she would put her foot or hand in her mouth and cover her face. Yes, her foot... flexible! We finally got her to put her feet and hands down and she proceeded to give the sonographer a dirty look and roll all the way over where all we could see was the back side of her head! Bad baby already... if this is what is to come for Woody and I, we are in BIG trouble!

We get to go back on Monday at 11:30am so hopefully she will be a nice girl and we'll get some good pictures of her. The only thing we really know at this point is that she most likely has the "Renouf" nose and that she's the most beautiful thing we've ever seen!

What Could Be More Appropriate?

We're having a baby! Let's be honest... this sweet little baby is the reason this blog has been started! I want to make sure that YOU, all of our family and friends, are able to keep up with our lives in any form or fashion you want! You can also just come and visit us or call us anytime!

To make a really long story short... Woody and I have been married for about 18 months now and we're living the American Dream! (haha...lame.) But no really, we both have great careers and great hobbies and we're having a great go at life! I guess I should get into the reason that you all are reading this blog in the first place... baby Sitz!

Sweet baby Sitz came into our lives earlier this year... July to be exact and has been growing like a weed ever since. She made her mommy very very sick in the beginning (serves me right) but things have evened out a little and she is currently a gorgeous 27 week fetus! She moves/dances like a crazy woman and is currently measuring a week ahead of schedule. She's about 2.5 lbs and 14 inches long. We're having a 3D/4D sonogram tomorrow morning and I'm sure that will bring a slew of great pics for the blog. Here are a few I'll leave you with!
